To preserve property values and maintain the aesthetic standards of Barrington Woods, all exterior modifications require prior written approval from the ARC before any construction, alteration, or installation begins.
Complete the official application form by clicking the "Download ARC Application" button then either submit the applicatin via e-mail or physical delivery. Include all required attachments (plat maps, material samples, and dimensions) to avoid processing delays.
Open Fillable ARC ApplicationComplete the ARC Application Form. Attach your property survey/plat map indicating the exact location of the proposed modification. Include material samples, paint swatches, contractor brochures, and dimension specifications.
Submit the completed packet via email to the board or by physical mail. Applications are deemed received only when all required documentation is complete.
The ARC has up to 30 days from the receipt of a complete application to review the proposal and issue a decision. Decisions will be provided in writing (Approved, Approved with Conditions, or Denied).
Once written approval is received, work may begin. Modifications must strictly adhere to the approved plans. Any deviations require a new application.
Commencing work without prior ARC approval is a violation of the CC&Rs. Homeowners who bypass this process may be subject to fines, legal action, and may be compelled to alter or remove the unauthorized modification at their own expense.
